"There are a lot of bloggers out there," say Kier Mellour, better known as the brains and face behind the hip fashion blog, Fashion Addict LA, "but the ones that are growing are doing something a little different." Mellour speaks from experience: her blog and stylish Instagram have become go-to destinations for fashionistas to educate themselves on the latest sartorial trends. Mellour, a "small-town girl" from Washington, is a former actress who left the industry after being fed up with "the patronizing side of the business." At a friend's suggestion, she started her blog two years ago, began emphasizing nightlife fashion ("I'm young, I live in Hollywood and girls who are here want to know what to wear out to the clubs") and continues to see steady growth. As for her decision to start featuring lingerie on the site? "54 percent of my readers are male," she reveals. So I thought, "Yah know what, let's just give them what they want."
