This weekend a jerk with a long history of violent racist and anti-Semitic threats both in person and online went around Kansas City making truth of his threats and shooting as many Jews as he could find. According to news reports the man arrested is a fellow named Frazier Glenn Miller. This got me to thinking about gun-supporters, racists, and their apparently deep ties, because Frazier Glenn Miller is apparently close to some of those who threatened to shoot me, my wife, and daughter.

Frazier Glenn Miller, you see, is a big proponent of the ideas on the Vanguard News Network blogs. Them I know about, since by backtracking from their blogs I was able to learn more about several of the 19 death-threats I got in the wake of my first article hoping for some common sense among gun owners. The interesting part, however, is not that VNN bloggers repeated my story, it is that VNN let their writers spiral into conspiracy theory and thus propagated a whole host of hate -- then pointed it straight towards -- well, not me, but somebody that they thought was me. Frazier Glenn Miller has posted more than 12,000 times on their blog sites.

Before we go on, here is their home page. It really has to be seen to be believed. With article titles like, "Jewed Media: Female TV Journalists and their Slut Shoes" and "Women: Dumber Than Men?" not to mention: "(Rare) Black Achievement: Who Cares," this is a site that draws hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of hits. In America. In the 21st Century. These are the sites, and the people, that drag America down. We should not condone, nor let pass, this sort of feces.

"All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

So, follow this link. Note that the conspiracy theorists of the Vanguard News Network say I live in NY, that I own a commercial company, that I have commercial contracts with the Department of Homeland Security, that I am a member of the New York Guard, etc. All of these facts feed their conspiracy theories, and I am still trying to figure out how the collective cyber stalking created by the Vanguard News Network got everything so pathetically wrong. (For the record, I am a regular Army officer, in England, I have no corporation, and I don't even know anybody in the DHS. All of that is easy to confirm.) But conspiracies are like that, which is why people like the Kansas City shooter who went hunting Jews thrive on un-contested conspiracies that are reinforced inside their bubbles, because nobody challenges them on their home ground. Even in "public" most everyone choose to step aside and let the haters hate and rant off into the sunset. But that is not how it works. When left uncontested, the conspiracy theorists evolve into stalkers.

After my essay two weeks ago, in the wake of the most recent Fort Hood shooting, an adult man stalked my Facebook profile and then attempted to "friend" my teenage daughter. Go ahead and scroll down through the comments from that essay. It is chilling, and this is exactly why I do not let bygones be bygones. The NRA and Vanguard News Network fuelled conspiracy theorists really are out for anybody who suggests that we need to change our policies on weapons, and not only us but demonstrably our kids as well.

But not just our kids.

Just after I posted my original essay my parents got a phone call in the middle of the night from an unknown number in North Georgia, asking if I was there. (Phone number and name, both being public record, are freely available to any who want them.) How creepy is that?

Not only did the gun-rights advocates of the NRA and the Vanguard News Network stalk my teenage daughter and my parents, but they did so with such incompetence that their records and threats are right there on Facebook.

The threats, implicit and explicit, are no joking matter. As one commentator at "Bob Owens'" (I have no idea if this is a fake name or not) webpage "Bearing Arms" said about me: J.d. Parks "Perhaps he'll return to his quarters to find someone has thoughtfully loaded his sidearm...with ONE round."

This could happen to any of us. And apparently to any of our families as well. I will stand alone, if I must. But it would be nice if other adults stood by my side. Lunatics hunting Jews, or those who dispute guns, or those of the "wrong" pigmentation or religion, are what my family has fought against in 1861-1865 and again in 1941-1945. It is why I decided to be a soldier.

I just never thought that the racism, anti-Semitism, and lunacy would be directed internal to the United States of America. My bad.

The opinions here are those of the author, an American Patriot, unlike those morons who are racists or anti-Semitic morons, all of whom are welcome to come meet the author, face to face. These opinions are not those of the DoD, the Army, or any unit with which the author is associated with at this moment.
