While dousing yourself with an awareness-raising bucket of ice water might cause your testicles to shrink, one cancer survivor is taking the opposite approach in an effort to bring attention to the thousands of American men who are diagnosed with testicular cancer each year. Thirty-one-year-old California native Thomas Cantley has taken it upon himself to push an enormous six-foot-tall inflatable testicle from Santa Monica to New York, where he plans to arrive, cajon-in-tow, sometime in October.

Cantley's flesh-toned odyssey will include stops in 11 cities, where he will meet with fellow cancer survivors in an effort to "establish MR. BALLSY as a new type of support group for men." Writing inspirational messages on his testicle is encouraged.

"I wanted to do sort of a social experiment," Cantley, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2009, told KSBW News. "I didn't want to force myself on anyone, and what this does, it forces people to come to me, ask me, 'What is this, what's it about, it kind of looks like a testicle, what's going on?' It creates that conversation."

Testicular cancer is the number-one form of cancer in men ages 15 to 35. If caught early enough, the survival rate is 96 percent, which means being aware and getting checked out regularly is crucial, even for those who may think they're too young to be at risk.

To follow along with Cantley's journey, sign up for the #BEBALLSY newsletter at BallPush.org, where you can also make a donation to the cause.

It really doesn't get any ballsier than this, folks. If you thought you had big balls, think again. Cantley survived testicular cancer and he's still packing larger than any of us.
