How casual is too casual? It's a reasonable enquiry — one that used to be cut-and-dried. But sartorial rules have loosened over time, and we noticed something during New York Fashion Week that called that very question to task: sweatpants. Lots of them. Everywhere, really. And these weren't just sweatpants to wear on a lazy Saturday or to bed. These were sweatpants meant for public consumption, worn with blazers and button-ups (at Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen) or a luxe suede baseball jacket (at Steven Alan). They were slimmer (like your jeans and khakis) and they looked comfortable, and, well... pretty damn good. So, we have to ask: Would you ever leave your house in sweatpants? Before you answer, here are eight examples from New York Fashion Week to consider.
