Leonardo DiCaprio is in New York City today to urge world leaders to take stronger action against climate change. As we previously reported, the United Nations recently named DiCaprio an "ambassador of peace" on account of his previous environmental work. Leo's speech comes 48 hours after more than 300,000 people descended on Manhattan to take part in a momentous climate change march through the heart of New York. Leo was among the sea of people, alongside Mark Ruffalo, Ed Norton, Sting and dozens of other celebrities and notable figures.

DiCaprio joined Instagram this morning to document his time inside the U.N. Climate Summit. He shared the above photo (questionable beard, excellent suit!), which shows him posing with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. He also shared this photo of his view of the assembly.

Here's wishing Leo the best on a day many hope will be a turning point in environmental history.
