Most people know Coca-Cola is loaded with sugar. But have you ever wondered what it does to your body?

Designed by The Renegade Pharmacist, the graphic depicts what happens internally after consuming a can of Coke. In the first 10 minutes, your body uses phosphoric acid to cut the sweetness of 10 teaspoons of sugar—the recommended daily intake. Then 10 minutes later, your blood sugar spikes, raising your insulin levels.

After 45 minutes, the caffeine's absorbed and your eyes dilate as blood pressure rises. Adenosine receptors in your brain become blocked, making you feel more alert. Dopamine production also goes into overdrive. By the 60 minute mark, the caffeine forces you to make a bathroom run, so you'll lose any calcium, magnesium, zinc, sodium, electrolytes, and water you were about to absorb. After that, it's time for a sugar crash.
